Raceland has over 19yrs experience of offering karting to young drivers, aged between 8yrs & 15yrs (minimum height requirement is 4ft 2ins to safely reach pedals), and current options include; 1hr party events for private groups, karting lessons and Club Membership.
The emphasis with young drivers is always on safety. Drivers are provided with all equipment required, including; Karting Racesuit, Crash Helmet and Gloves. All karting sessions for young drivers (non-members) are on the indoor circuit. The indoor circuit is around 300metres in length (varies with current track design) and, unusually for indoor kart circuits offers a grippy tarmac surface. The close proximity of other drivers ensures indoor karting offers fast exciting fun, and with the added attraction of our thrilling up & under bridge. Indoor karts are quick enough to be exciting and easy to drive with tuition. Christmas Gift Vouchers available.
3hr Karting Lesson - For Under 16's - Up To 20 Young Drivers Per Lesson Session - Indoor Karting
Raceland has operated a karting club for kids under 16 years of age for over 20years, training literally thousands of young drivers to drive and race karts in a controlled and safe environment. We offer indoor karting lessons to young drivers - 8yrs to 15yrs - on the second Sunday in every month (12.30pm to 3.30pm) and daytime during school holidays. The indoor lesson lasts 3hours and on completion the driver is offered a free session the week following the lesson and free Club membership to end of that year.
Karting Lessons cover; Safety, basic tuition, track behaviour, overtaking, race starts. Kids who have completed lessons and gone on to become free members can then practice and Race every Sunday with other members. See Under 16's Club Membership.

1hr Karting Party Sessions - For Under 16yrs- Private Groups - Indoor Karting
Age Range - 8yrs to maximum age 15yrs – Minimum height requirement is 4ft 2ins
Participants must all be over 8yrs of age+ (careful if booking an 8th birthday party - min age of all participants is 8yrs)
Up to 8 kids maximum per each 1 hour session booked – More than 8 kids would require additional 1hr being booked (maximum 2hr session & up to 16kids)
Total session time will be 1.5hrs, consisting of 1hr track time and fitting of racewear & safety briefing
Parent or responsible adult is required to complete a disclaimer form on behalf of all kids participating – accepting any risks
Format - Completion Of Disclaimer By The Responsible Adult, Safety Briefing, Fitting Of Racewear - 1hr Total Track Time (min 3 drives per person)
